Welcome to the official commercial portal of AFP Transformers Corp. By purchasing our custom transformers, dry type magnetics, cast coil systems, or accessing our digital services, international buyers, EPC contractors, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Scope of Commercial Agreement

These Terms of Service apply to all quotations, purchase orders, engineering consultations, and international shipments executed by AFP Transformers Corp., located in Edison, New Jersey, USA. These terms govern the procurement of standard power transformers, custom specialty magnetics, harmonic mitigation units, epoxycast products, and industrial motor control components.

Any conflicting terms contained in a buyer’s purchase order or standard procurement document shall not apply unless explicitly reviewed, accepted, and signed in writing by an authorized executive officer of AFP Transformers Corp.

2. Engineering Specifications and Design Sign-Off

As a specialized custom transformer manufacturer, precision engineering is central to our operational protocol. All custom magnetic orders require a comprehensive design sign-off procedure prior to factory production.

2.1 Approval Drawings and Technical Data Sheets

Our engineering team generates formal engineering approval drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical specification datasheets for every custom unit. Production commences strictly after written client sign-off on voltage ratings, kVA power capacity, enclosure NEMA/IP ratings, thermal insulation classes, and terminal design.

2.2 Tolerances and Engineering Modifications

Electrical and physical tolerances adhere strictly to applicable IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards. Post-approval modification requests from the buyer may incur engineering revision fees and lead time adjustments proportional to manufacturing progress.

3. Quality Control, Standards, and Factory Certification

AFP Transformers Corp. maintains rigorous in-house quality control systems to ensure operational safety and long-term durability in high-demand industrial environments.

• Certification Standards: Products are manufactured in compliance with Underwriters Laboratories (UL Recognized / UL Listed options available), ANSI, and CSA standards where specified.
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Standard testing includes winding resistance, turns ratio, polarity, phase relation, no-load loss, full-load loss, impedance, and applied/induced high-potential dielectric strength tests.
• Specialized Testing: Temperature rise tests, partial discharge verification for cast coil units, and acoustic noise level measurements can be performed upon contract request.

4. Pricing, Currency, and Commercial Payment Terms

All commercial transactions are governed by standard industrial supply agreements outlined below:

Unless specified otherwise in formal proposals, prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD). Quoted pricing remains valid for thirty (30) days from the issue date unless raw material surcharges (copper, electrical steel, insulating resin) require market alignment.

For international buyers and export projects, acceptable payment mechanisms include confirmed irrevocable Letters of Credit (L/C at sight) or Telegraphic Transfer (T/T Wire Transfer) under agreed commercial milestones.

5. International Logistics and Delivery Conditions

AFP Transformers Corp. coordinates international sea freight, air cargo, and heavy-haul truck transportation for global deliveries.

• Incoterms: Orders ship default under EXW (Ex Works Edison, NJ facility) or FOB (Free On Board Port of NY/NJ), unless CIF/DDP terms are explicitly negotiated in writing.
• Heavy Equipment Handling: Custom high-kVA power transformers and heavy castblock units require specialized industrial crating. Buyers are responsible for site unloading, crane arrangements, and safe physical installation.
• Customs & Import Duties: Overseas purchasers are responsible for applicable import tariffs, local value-added taxes (VAT), destination customs clearance fees, and port handling charges.

6. Intellectual Property & Custom Designs

All core engineering designs, magnetic circuit calculations, proprietary winding techniques, structural CAD models, and technical documentation developed by AFP Transformers Corp. remain the exclusive intellectual property of AFP Transformers Corp.

Granting of technical drawings to buyers serves solely for project installation, operation, and maintenance purposes, and does not transfer intellectual property rights or manufacturing licenses to third parties.

7. Limited Warranty & Factory Support

AFP Transformers Corp. warrants all manufactured dry-type transformers, epoxycast coils, and specialty magnetic units to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal industrial operation and recommended maintenance.

8. Cancellation, Order Suspension, and Liability Limitations

Orders for custom-engineered magnetics cannot be canceled without compensation for accrued engineering hours, raw material procurement costs, and factory scheduling allocations incurred up to the date of cancellation notice.

AFP Transformers Corp. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of production, downtime costs, or business interruption) resulting from delayed equipment shipment, field installation failure, or improper maintenance handling by unauthorized personnel.

9. Governing Law and International Arbitration

These Terms of Service and all related purchasing contracts are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes arising under commercial contracts shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
